The IAIS is a collaborative platform that aims at spanning the gap between varied scholarships that exist under the larger umbrella of International Relations. The field has a wealth of perspectives and distinct voices that enrich our understanding of international politics. Our efforts are drawn towards bringing these distinct and varied voices together to build an epistemic community of scholars and experts with the goal of knowledge creation and dissemination. We hope that through our collective endeavours we could strive towards building a community that translates theory into tangible policy action.
An Indian Association with a global vision, that stays true to its location without being caged by it, the IAIS vision is to amplify regional perspectives and highlight these narratives in the mainstream academia. The IAIS believes that young scholars have the greatest responsibility in steering this collaborative community forward. Thus, we hope that IAIS become the confluence of knowledge and experience of our eminent scholars; and the freshness and vibrance of young scholars. The IAIS hopes that through this collaborative endeavour we can further enrich the IR scholarship in India.
